Mayank Agarwal rushed to ICU after health scare while onboarding a flight

In a scary piece of news for cricket fans, the star Indian batter Mayank Agarwal was hospitalized after he faced a health issue on a flight to Surat from Agartala. The cricketer was immediately taken to hospital followed by getting admitted to the ICU of Agartala’s ILS hospital.

The 32-year-old felt a burning sensation in his mouth and throat before he was taken off the flight to be admitted to the hospital. The 32-year-old is currently leading Karnataka in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024 season.

However, the media reports and developments have learned that he had to through some Tests in ILS hospital after he vomited and did not feel well on the health grounds. Tripura Cricket Association is currently taking care of Agarwal as the rest of his Karnataka teammates have left for Rajkot for their next Ranji Trophy match Saurashtra.

It has also been confirmed that the skipper Mayank Agarwal will be missing the next match for Karnataka against Saurashtra.

Karnataka in trouble after losing in-form Mayank Agarwal

Speaking of his performances for Karnataka in the current Ranji Trophy season, the star middle-order batter has scored two centuries, alongside a half-century in the 7 innings of the 4 matches he played for his team so far in the tournament.

He has been out of action from international cricket for the last 22 months, almost two years, since he made his last appearance for India in the Bengaluru Test against Sri Lanka in March 2022.

Apart from that, Agarwal played his last ODI against Australia in Sydney almost three years back in November 2020.

Speaking of the recent match against Tripura in which he led his side, Agarwal scored a half-century in the first innings followed by a 17-run knock in the second innings. The visitors managed to register a 29-run win against Tripura to earn six points to their name in the points table of Elite Group C of the tournament.
