In a recent piece of news, star Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman sustained a horrible blow to his head in the training session of his franchise Comilla Victorians at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. The intensity of the blow can be understood by the fact the pacer immediately fell.

The ball hit the left part of his head. It all happened on the morning of Sunday during the practice session of Comilla Victorians ahead of their next match in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League 2024. Notably, the Victorians will take on Sylhet Strikers in their next match on Monday, February 20 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Coming back to Mustafizur Rahman, he was rushed immediately to the hospital by the medical staff of the team.

The video of the moment when Rahman sustained this nasty blow, is also making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared over X (formerly Twitter).

Team Physio of Comilla Victorians, Zahidul Islam also provided a crucial update about the head injury of Mustafizur Rahman after the latter was given medical attention.

“During practice, a ball hit directly at the left parietal area (head) of Mustafizur Rahman. There was an open wound in his parietal area and we worked with a compression bandage to stop bleeding and immediately shifted him to Imperial Hospital. After the CT scan, we are satisfied that he had only external injury. There is no intracranial bleeding. Now surgical team has given him stitches on the open wound,” said physio Zahidul Islam.

Apart from that, the media manager of the Victorians, Sohanuzzaman Khan came up with another update on the star pacer.

“When we were prepping him for the ride to the hospital, he seemed to be acting normally,” he said to ESPN Cricinfo.
